ALERT - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
International Vocal Artist sets out to touch the masses and house the homeless
“1000’s of CDs come across my desk everyday, and few can compare
to the writing, vocal performance and production of Jodi Light’s new
CD "I Am Right Here". “Lullaby” is timeless. It could’ve
been written ten years ago, or ten years from now, and would still have the
same impact. Jodi Light bears her soul on this record, and I find it unlikely
that once listened to, one could walk away untouched.”

Poignant lyrics... A soulful and dynamic vocal performance...A poetic, funky,
R & B, neo-soul vibe with jazz overtones... brilliant and meticulous production...This
would perhaps best describe Jodi Light’s new CD release: “I Am
Right Here”, inspired by real life experiences, and two years in the
making, produced by Mario Mendivil (Nelson Rangell "Far Away Day").
Dedicated to creating an original project containing no “filler”
songs, Jodi proves herself as a fresh, genuine talent, and the complete singer/
song-writer/ performer, who will settle for nothing less than complete honesty.
The record also features world renowned smooth jazz artists: Nelson Rangell
on “I Feel You”, “Fuel My Fire”and Tony Guerrero on
“So Long”. Response to the CD has been overwhelmingly positive,
and seems to touch people of all ages, colors and creeds. According to Jodi,
“this music was written to be real, not formulated”. The cuts
would easily fit into adult-contemporary, neo-soul and smooth jazz markets.
As a Phoenix based international recording artist and award winning entertainer,
Jodi Light is donating $2.00 of every CD sold to the UMOM New Day Centers.
UMOM (United Methodist Outreach Ministries) is the largest family homeless
shelter in the state of AZ, and not only houses and feeds thousands of homeless
people, mostly which are children, but they have a two year program to rehabilitate
and educate parents to help put them back on their feet and into the workplace. To
quote Jodi, “I have chosen UMOM as my charity, because as I was touring
the facility, a small boy in the nursery came up to me, took my hand, looked
up into my eyes and said sadly “I want to go home”, and upon learning
that there are over 12,000 children homeless in our city every night, I had
to get involved.” When Jodi isn't appearing in concert or at nationwide
festivals, she appears with her band Shining Star at various clubs and resorts.
